Detail: YWCA Syracuse & Onondaga County will host their annual Spirit of American Women fundraiser, Wednesday, November 4, 2009 beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the Holiday Inn in Liverpool. Spirit of American Women is a special event that supports the women, girls and families served through YWCA programs such as Girls Incorporated, the Women's Residence and Out of School Time programs. These programs enrich the lives of women and girls in our community. The YWCA is honored to welcome as their featured speaker, the nationally-renown advocate for children's rights: Marian Wright Edelman, the Director and Founder of the Children's Defense Fund (CDF).
